The Jungle Adventure is Green Acres’ signature trail! Ride through three distinct environments – you’ll start in the open pasture, where you settle into a rhythm and find your seat. Then comes crossing the creek on horseback, and after that, the jungle closes in overhead.
Inside the canopy, the air cools, the light shifts, and the trail narrows just enough to feel like an adventure.
For riders who want to open it up, trotting and cantering sections are built into the route where the terrain allows.
This is the ride that works for nearly everyone: confident enough for intermediate riders who want varied terrain, but welcoming enough that a genuine beginner with a sense of adventure can enjoy every minute of it.

At a leisurely pace, we’ll arrive at the riverside in about 1 hour 15 minutes. Confident riders may get there within the hour at a faster pace. The trail is active and adventurous, through open fields, orchards, jungle, hills, and multiple creek crossings. Emerge from the jungle at the riverside for a refreshing swim stop and refreshments. Swimming in the river is an authentic Belizean pastime, in a natural and rustic setting.

Ride deep into the jungle to a remote Sibun River swim spot, then enjoy a picnic lunch by the water. 2- 2.5 hours riding round trip, plus 1 – 1.5 hours swim and lunch.
At a leisurely pace, we’ll arrive at the riverside in about 1 hour, 15 minutes. Confident riders may get there within the hour at a faster pace. The trail is active and adventurous, through open fields, orchards, jungle, hills and gullies, and multiple creek crossings. Emerge from the jungle at the riverside, where we’ll dismount to enjoy a picnic lunch of rice and beans with baked chicken, packed in and served right beside the river. Experience an authentic Belizean pastime at a natural, rustic spot in the middle of the jungle alongside the river.

Ride through the jungle for a picnic lunch under the palapa and swimming at the Creek. 2 hours riding round trip, plus about 1 – 1.5 hour swim and picnic.
Follow an active, adventurous trail through open fields, orchards, jungle, hills, and creek crossing to arrive at the landscaped Silver Creek spot with a covered palapa and stairs down to the water. Dismount to enjoy your swim and picnic lunch of rice and beans with baked chicken under the palapa. When you’re ready, remount and ride back to the ranch.

Ride into the jungle. Dismount. Enter Xibalba, a cathedral of stone that the ancient Maya considered sacred, and that most visitors to Belize will never find.
Actun Balam, the “Cave of the Jaguar”, is Green Acres Ranch at its most adventurous. This is a genuine archaeological site: cathedral chambers, crystal formations, and evidence of ancient Maya ceremonial use that few visitors to Belize ever witness.
The approach trail is approx 2 hours across multi-terrain and demanding, varied elevation, and jungle canopy. When you arrive at the cave entrance, you dismount and spend approximately 1.5 hours exploring on foot with your guide: moving through stone chambers lit by headlamp, reading formations that took millennia to build, and standing in spaces where the silence is complete. Refreshments under the canopy set in the jungle reenergizes and rounds out the day before you ride back to the ranch.

A 1.5 hour jungle ride ends at the riverside, where your kayaks are waiting for you. Energize with locals snacks and drinks. After 1.5 hours downstream, we pull up to HUMO Restaurant to enjoy a delicious local lunch overlooking the river.
Follow an active, adventurous trail through the jungle to the river, where kayaks are set up and waiting for you. Dismount, hop in, and paddle downstream at your own pace, with the jungle all around you. Your paddle ends at a riverside restaurant with stairs up from the water. Pull up your kayak, climb the stairs, and sit down to lunch overlooking the river. When lunch is done, your tour ends and your driver takes you back to the ranch / your hotel.
